Today, I went into a drawing frenzy.  Most of it was productive and commission-oriented, but I snuck a special little sketch in there to share with my friends list over here.

I'm not fully satisfied with the likeness, but I suppose it could be worse.

Just for the hell of it, I thought I'd post some of my artwork. Some of these are works in progress, others are complete.

Lots of rather large piccies behind cut )

Bah... I've been creatively dry for the past few days.  I hope something changes there soon, because creative drought is the WORST, the feeling that you want to do something creative, but inspiration refuses to cooperate.

I'm about halfway through season one of "Lost."  It has well and truly hooked me, not just the mystery and story, but the characters.  A story rarely holds my attention if I don't love the characters, and every one of the characters on this show so far have grabbed my attention and held it from their first airtime moments.  It's a rare story that does that, very rare indeed.

After dreaming about my friend in California, I messaged her on Facebook and we've started up a bit of a dialogue.  It's nice when your subconscious prods you into seeing how old friends are doing.  I resisted Facebook for so long, preferring the more ramble-friendly format of Live Journal, but when you have friends everywhere, it makes it sooooo much easier to keep in touch with them.

Sometimes I wonder if I'll ever slow down, grow up, put down roots.  But something tells me I wouldn't be happy in a conventional lifestyle.  I've often asked myself what it is I'm looking for in my travels.  For a long time, it did feel like I was searching for something un-nameable.  But now... I'm not so sure.  I must have gypsy blood in me, because I can't honestly envision myself in any other lifestyle.  Slowing down, maybe, but not stopping.  The unfortunate down side to this sort of life is that you learn to take a very, very light hold on relationships, on people.  You may find yourself caring very deeply, very quickly, but knowing that soon you'll leave and may well never see them again.

Oh, but there are so many people that I grew very fond of over the years, that I grew to love; unique, wonderful, beautiful, quirky, brave, brilliant people that I'll never, ever forget.  I could write a book just in the telling of them.  But... I won't.

So... if anyone is reading this, give me some inspiration!  What should I write about??  No promises, but at least I'll have ideas to play with!
