Good morning, folks. Yep, this is me, rambling in my personal LJ before I hop over to shadows_gallery to start this week's Free Sketch Day.

Honestly, I'm not sure how I'm going to do it today. I'll be spending at least a few hours downstairs watching Grandmom, as opposed to responding to calls, like I did last week. I managed last week's FSD with some difficulty, but was able to get to all the prompts. I'm a little worried about whether I'll be able to get anything done today while watching her directly. I'll have to take my equipment down and set everything up as well, but that's not too difficult. She needs moment-to-moment supervision; she can't even be left alone in the room for a minute and a half because she always tries to get up by herself and almost falls.

Every one of us is severely behind on our work.

So, on Wednesday and Thursday, I'm going to start a new weekly event on shadows_gallery-- $5 character portrait day. This'll be a two-day event, where people who have original characters for role playing or fiction or whatnot can come with a detailed description, and I'll do a black and white drawing of a head-and-shoulders portrait for them. (Sort of like this, but I did that late last night after running my rear off all day, and didn't notice the features were lopsided until later. It was supposed to be a portrait example for the event, so I'll fix them today sometime or before I start up tomorrow. Assuming I can find the time.)

I may need another cup of coffee for this... lol.
