Hey, guys! Sorry I've been posting so many short-and-quick posts here, but I've been uber busy on my other blog recently.
I'm working on a new piece, based on one of the prompts given during Free Sketch Days. This one is called "Frozen," and is being funded through crowdfunding. I just completed the line art a short time ago, and will post the next stage when it has been funded. Click the thumbnail to enlarge. :) The landing page for this project is here.

Dec. 3rd, 2011 12:03 pmSo, I fixed the line art for my angel piece. I actually just re-traced the whole thing after making the corrections.
I started adding colors, but it's all flat color so far and looks really odd, so I just uploaded the line art to my server to share. (I had to get a new webs account... my Free Sketch Days at
shadows_gallery took up almost all of my space!)
Oh yes, and the wings? They'll be made of shadow and storm, with bits of lightning.
I still don't know what to call this.
( This pic is full sized, and has implied nudity, though it actually doesn't show much. )

Oct. 16th, 2011 01:47 pmSooo, the weekend.
I've managed to succumb to the cold, I'm afraid. It's not yet full blown, and I hope to kick it with my get-better regimen, but I'm feeling rather blah at the moment. Also, my left eye is very irritated-- hopefully not infected.
I feel like I might be artsy today. I started a new piece for my Zazzle site the other day. Instead of more wildlife art, I thought I'd start something for the "Fantasy Creatures" section, which is still sitting empty since I deleted all the old low-res paintings from it.
( Some images and stuff below cut )

Aug. 23rd, 2011 09:51 amSo I worked some time (because I stopped and started over a few times) on drawing the coffee shop in Aeternal Eckhoes yesterday. I think I'm finally satisfied with how it looks. Working on the colorization. I haven't quite settled on a color scheme for it.
It'll be the illustration for the intro page of the community.
( Yep, that's the line drawing below the cut. )
I swear, drawing all these straight lines is a PAIN.
And yes, the coffee shop will play a large part in the story. It's there for a reason.
Meh. I was rather hoping to have the community profile up and going yesterday, with synopsis and illustration. The synopsis is NOT wanting to come. I can't get past, "Welcome to Aeternal Eckhoes."
Also, REALLY not satisfied with my drawing of Eckho. Will have to hit the drawing board again for that one. I may eschew the sketch pad and just draw it in Gimp. Cuts out the middle man... or, well, the middle... scanner?
I'm focusing a bit on the art side of this for now, so I can get the visuals up and ready, and then I'll do some writing. Had a good brainstorming session the other day, and I think I've got a clearer idea of some of the story elements and background.
I know. I've been neglecting fannish stuff! Sorry, fannish friends list. I know you all probably aren't all that interested in my ramblings on this project! LJ has always been something of a sounding board for me, something to ramble and brainstorm on.
All right, guys, I've got work to do. See ya!
