Aug. 1st, 2011 11:44 amSo, the new challenge at
then_theres_us is vampires. LOL... This could be fun, if the muse decides to play along.
I'm thinking of shelving the longer story for the time being, maybe taking it down until I can devote more time to it. Writing short fic is pretty easy because I can pretty much finish the first draft in one fell swoop and then go back later for editing, but keeping up with a long arc gets a bit difficult when I have a zillion other things to do. I am, however, writing more these days than I've written in a long time. It feels good.
I'm still playing with ideas for the Labyrinthine Heart zine. I'm leaning towards two major features for it-- the web zine itself, and a social playground sort of thing. I.E., a social networking site for sci fi and fantasy enthusiasts, as well as for artists, writers, creators, etc, where people can create their own profiles and interact with one another. I started a free "web site w. social networking" account on socialgo.com today in order to familiarize myself more with the ins and outs of that kind of thing (I'm a hands-on learner, really), though I'm not sure if I'll use that service for the final 'zine. Depends on how well it works, I suppose.
All right, I have to go do stuff. Later!
