Aug. 14th, 2011 11:46 amThis must be the week for weird dreams. Only this time, I dreamed that I was the character I'm writing over at
justaneckho , except without the memory loss (because I was me). All phasing around the country and slipping past people unseen when I wanted to and such. Bizarre. But kinda fun.
Feeling a bit worried about my grandmother. She had a seizure yesterday when I went out to lunch with the family. Just blanked out for a minute. None of us have seen her do that before. They're going to take her to the doctor this week, they say.
Yeah, not gonna make the deadline at TTU. That's ok. I'll just post it here when it's done. It's probably not romantic enough for TTU anyway-- a bit more story-based, though D & R do have some "moments" that could be taken as shippy, I suppose. It's actually easier for me to write AU stuff when it comes to romance, or after Journey's End, I've found. Weird. I'll try to write the first draft today, if the muse cooperates.
While playing around online last night, I found a page of Joss Whedon quotes. Some good ones on there, like:
"Remember to always be yourself. Unless you suck."
"I write to give myself strength. I write to be the characters that I am not. I write to explore all the things I'm afraid of. "
"Write it. Shoot it. Publish it. Crochet it, sauté it, whatever. MAKE."
"Recognizing power in another does not diminish your own."
I'll stop now or I'll end up transcribing the whole damn thing. But here's a link: http://www.goodreads.com/author/quotes/18015.Joss_Whedon
