Schizophrenic brains not fooled by optical illusion?

Oh, this opens up all sorts of discussion potential.

That was an interesting article. I'm amazed at how intricate the human brain is.

I think that what most interests me about the article and the illusions discussed in it is that it is the brain's perception of how things are-- e.g., the face recognition ability of the mind-- that creates the illusion. In this case, the perception is wrong, but the mind still interprets the image as convex, despite knowing it's actually concave as the reverse/hollow side of the mask, because it has difficulty breaking out of that perception. Kind of a mind bender, no?
