Wait, what happened to Autumn? It's HOT again!

Granted, not as hot as it has been, but I want my cooler weather and autumn winds and fiery colors, damn it. Well, I probably won't get much by way of brilliant colors down here, but there are a few trees that change, when it actually cools down. Assuming they don't just turn brown and drop their leaves.

At least it's cooling down at night enough to, you know, sleep with covers again. Even a blanket. I'd almost forgotten what that was like. Snuggly.

Writer's block hitting for TTU again. I really don't want to miss another challenge; I'm afraid they'll boot me if I just stop posting fic! Maybe later today something will come to me. I feel a touch of the writing bug coming on, the kind that requires a cup of hot chai and my classical/soundtrack station on Pandora. I have to get some artwork done first, though.

Oh, speaking of art, my fannish friends, I was playing with a concept for a 12th Doctor the other day. I didn't get much done on it, though. He's sort of a blend of the 8th and 3rd, leaning towards Victorian wear, though I might put a bit of a steampunk spin on it. I'll post it if I ever finish it. I'm very loosely basing his likeness on Benedict Cumberbatch, though I'll take some liberties with that and possibly make him a bit older in appearance.

I know! I'd be a bit worried that he'd simply play it like he plays Sherlock, but I think if he were to take care not to do that, he'd really do the character justice. Plus, he's REALLY pretty! Those cheekbones! LOL

I have lots to do today but I plan on working a bit on the Steampunk Twelve idea, so hopefully it'll be posted before too long.

Can you imagine the crossover fic that'll come out of that, though? Doppleganger! Or, what's it, tempero-spatial genetic transference? I don't remember. But it's funny.

I just seem to be in more of an art cycle these days, I suppose. I'm going to TRY to write something tonight. I did get a few sentences in the other day.

I love Fall too! I wish it would quit getting lost!

Thanks! Already having fun with it. It's difficult to strike a balance between too much techy stuff while still looking steampunk. He has goggles (that do funny energy-reading type things, probably) on top of his head, though, and a high tech looking cane (which, thank you very much Moffat, I thought of BEFORE I saw LKH, so I'm keeping the idea because the whole image has been sticky in my head for months and I'm just now getting around to drawing it!)

Eh, writer's block... I think sometimes my muse swings between, "DRAW THIS!" and "WRITE THIS!" on a regular basis. She seems to be all about the art right now. I suppose I can deal with that, as long as I don't get kicked out of TTU for not posting fic!

I still hold out hope for a female Doctor one day. Not only would it throw a wrench into a whole lot of people's personal canon but it would just be damn fun (imho). Then again, I would never, ever want Moffat to write that!

Good luck with all the blocks. I'm not back up to my writing speed but I'm hoping sometime soon. I went a little crazy on the ficathon so I think I'll be fine for a while at TTU even if I doubt they throw out members (still accepting too).

That would be very interesting, though I agree with you-- I wouldn't want M to touch it with a ten foot pole.

Thanks on the wish of luck. I think it's just a normal creative cycle... sometimes it's more visually inclined, and other times it's more literary.
